Nigeria News: Adepoju laments 3SC woes.

Former shooting Stars  General Manager Mutiu Adepoju has described the likely relegation of the club in the ongoing  season as “sad”.

The Ibadan side are   rooted to the bottom of the Nigerian Professional Football League table    with 40 points from the 35 matches.

Adepoju, who spoke to the News Agency of Nigeria on Tuesday,  wondered how 3SC found themselves in the situation, saying “it’s shocking”.

“The former Super Eagles midfielder  said, “Its sad that 3SC are in this mess, honestly I don’t know how they got there.  It’s shocking. I cannot fathom how things got to this level.

“With  three matches to go, it will take a miracle; I sincerely wish they will get out of this  demotion predicament.”

The Tunisia ’94 Africa Cup of Nations winner added, “Most of the players I left there last season are still there, so I don’t know what seem not to be working for them.”

Culled from Punch.
