Bongolethu Jayiya scored a hat-trick in the space of 10 minutes to be the quickest in the 21-year history of the Premier Soccer League history as Cape Town City went back to the top of the table on Monday night with a convincing 4-1 home win over Chippa United at the Athlone Stadium.

Jayiya, who also got a hat-trick last season in the colours of Mpumalanga Black Aces, scored the opener in the sixth minute, got a second six minutes later and, by the 16th minute, had completed his hat-trick to set City on their way to an important three-point haul.
