Africa Wrestling Championship: Nigeria win 2 gold, 2 bronze medals on opening day of tournament.

Nigeria Wrsetlers are doing the country proud 

at the African Wrestling Championships (THE NATION)

Nigeria picked up two gold medals and two bronze on the opening day of the 2018 African Wrestling Championships in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The Gold medal winners for Nigeria are Ukoro Peter and Sunmisola Balogun, while Ikechukwu Robinson and Esther Asaolu won bronze medals for Nigeria's team.

Two gold medals

Ukoro Peter was the first to register Nigeria's first medal at the championships, he emerged victorious in the 55kg Greco-Roman category.

He defeated Egypt's Omar Adel Abdelazi in the final 4 - 0.
