Liverpool and Egypt forward Mohamed Salah could make history after being named as one of six candidates nominated for the Professional Footballers’ Association Players’ Player of the Year.
The award, voted for by Premier League players, has been presented since 1974.
Salah enjoyed a stellar 2024/25 season, netting 29 times and providing 18 assists in 38 Premier League games, helping Liverpool secure their second league title in the Premier League era. He also helped guide his club to winning the EFL Cup.
