Mission X is possible: Super Falcons of Nigeria advance to the final

Does dream come true?  

Super Falcons of Nigeria advance to the final of the on-going WAFCON 2024, taking place in Northern part of Africa - Morocco. 

It was a hell of a night when the 9th champions of Africa women football, Super Falcons of Nigeria filed it out with the current champion of African women football, Bayana-Bayana, in Casablanca, Morocco, yesterday.

The two sides got a point to prove; South Africa, wanted to advance to defend the title and Nigeria alike, wanted to advance to keep the dream alive - Mission X

In a trilling 90 minute-encounter that favoured Nigeria over South Africa, ended 2-1. Nigeria showed supremacy by getting past their opponent through a penalty kick that Rasheedat

Ajibade put pass, Sundown of Mamelodi's female goalkeeper, Andile Dilamini. This saw Nigeria winning in the first 45 minutes of the game.

In the second half, Bayana-Bayana, came out like never before to force a defensive foul that resulted in a penalty kick that saw the side to equalize. A well taken kick from the spot, in the 60 minutes by Linda Motlhalo; brought confusion and panic down the spine of the Nigerian Super Falcons.

But Nigerian American, Michelle Alozie, shined bright like De Beers' diamond through a hail-stone lob of the ball into South Africa's goal post that ended at the back of the net.
