As the saying goes, "One man's food is another's poison"; this reflects the story of Divine Oladipo, who, despite the controversies surrounding Nigerian athletics, has chosen to return home.

While some Nigerian athletes are embracing the opportunities of switching nationality to European countries, Divine Oladipo has instead embraced her African roots by transferring her allegiance from Great Britain to Nigeria.

The highly rated British shot put thrower based in the United States will be eligible to represent Nigeria from August 15, having met the requirements for a switch of nationality.
