That is the view of Newcastle legend Alan Shearer who has hit out at the new Liverpool striker for “refusing to play” for the Magpies during the transfer saga.
Isak’s move to the Premier League champions was announced on transfer Deadline Day with Liverpool paying £125million for the Sweden international, a new British transfer record fee which could rise to £130million.
However, Isak has ultimately departed St James’ Park under a cloud. He skipped the club’s pre-season tour before going on strike and then released a statement citing "broken" promises as the cause of his actions.
