Pirates v Bayern on the cards.

Cape Town - European champions Bayern Munich are looking forward to facing Orlando Pirates in the FIFA Club World Cup, provided the Buccaneers go all the way and claim the continental showpiece next month.

The draw for the club global showpiece was conducted in Morocco on Wednesday night, where the competition will be staged in December.

However, Roger de Sa’s charges still have a long way to go before they can start having fantasies of a possible clash against Pep Guardiola’s troops.

The Buccaneers still have to travel north to face Esperance of Tunisia in their CAF Champions League semi-final second-leg clash.

The first leg at Orlando Stadium ended in a goalless stalemate over the weekend.

Bayern qualified for the global spectacle by winning the UEFA Champions league when they defeated fellow Germans, Borussia Dortmund, 2-1 at Wembley in May.

According to the Kick-Off website, the South African club could be representing the rest of the continent together with hosts, Raja Casablanca, but would have to first lock horns with the winner of the Asian Champions League which is yet to be determined - on December 14 in Agadir City.

Brazilian outfit Atletico Mineiro will represent the COPA America region while the CONCACAF region will be represented by Monterrey FC of Mexico.

Auckland City FC will represent the Oceania, while Casablanca and the 2013 CAF Champions League winners will represent Africa.

The tournament will be played in Africa for the first time this year and is set to kick off in December.
